SIMON ON THE WORK
When AMP asked me about working on a limited edition poster, about the movie of my choice, there was almost no hesitation… Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the best movie ever? Already done last year for Hero Complex Gallery. Star Wars? Everybody else has already done it.
Then I suddenly remembered that my first, biggest emotion while watching a movie as a child was seeing this gorilla riding a horse out of a corn field, a rifle in his hand, and 77 minutes later realizing all the time Taylor was back home… So Planet of the Apes it was then.
I’ve read the book by Pierre Boulle a dozen times, seen the movie a thousand times, and listened to the soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith several times these last few weeks, while working on this poster, feeling again my first emotions concerning this masterpiece.
Here is BRIGHT EYES, through my eyes when I was a child !!!

ABOUT SIMON CARUSO
Born in 1985, freelance illustrator/graphic designer since 2008. Movie fan since always!
Since his Illustration and comic strips degree in 2008 at school Emile Cohl (France), Simon has worked in advertising, publishing, boardgames, frescos and comic strips workshops.
He regularly collaborates on art shows at Hero Complex Gallery (Los Angeles) and is always open for various commissions (and/or pizza)!
