“Giuseppe Balestra, aka GB, is a young illustrator based in Italy, born in Rome, October 1991. He generally works in pen and inks, hatching and stippling, and digital color. Usually inspired by a certain kind of literature and movies – especially horror and fantasy – he likes to create “melancholic, mysterious and poetic” illustrations in which the darkness of the shadows stands in contrast to the light. He has provided illustrations for various artistic projects, both in Europe and in the USA, such as Printed in Blood’s The Thing Artbook, Netflix’s Visions from the Upside Down and the upcoming Ghost Busters Artbook and Joss Whedon’s Firefly. “
