Cristian is one of our 30×30: 1988 exhibition artists, and in this series of showcases we aim to show and tell you a little more about the artist, their work and why they chose the film they will be creating work for. Also WIP from their 1988 piece and details on how you can grab one of these for yourself.
My Neighbour Totoro (1988)
Film Synopsis
When two girls move to the country to be near their ailing mother, they have adventures with the wondrous forest spirits who live nearby.
About the Artist
Cristian Eres is a Spanish illustrator and sci-fi artist. His work explores the relation between the nature and the abstraction leading to never-seen-before worlds.
Cristian has been creating digital art since he was fifteen and he’s a member of the digital art collective Depthcore. His influences come from sci-fi and fantasy artists from the 70s, specially “Wolfgang Amadeus Moebius”.
Graduated in 2012 in graphic design, he understands and knows the requirements of several graphic design fields.
